Understanding breaking changes to bases
Bases are finicky when:
- Embedding a base in a note and then switching to another view and expecting that view next time you open the note. The note will only reflect what the embed says (it won’t remember which view you had open, but you can change the embed to denote a specific view).
- Changing the name of a view. This may break any base view put in the sidebars in different workspaces. It may break any view in any embedded note. Obsidian may have already fixed this.
